Homes.com is growing quickly and we’re looking for Senior Analytical Engineers to help accelerate our growth. This role will be responsible for helping build out the sitewide tracking architecture on Homes.com. You will engineer various aspects of our data management, ranging from designing and maintaining automated data infrastructure and creating BI solutions to facilitating data access and analysis for key company teams.

This position is located in Washington, DC and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

  • Work with data engineering and product teams to understand, develop and implementing Data Analytics solutions.

  • Develop automated scripts using SQL and/or python to transform raw source data into informational datasets for use by analysts and users across the company.

  • Develop BI solutions that meet the needs of our product, marketing, and sales teams. This includes working with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop algorithms, designing data models, and developing reports and dashboards.

  • Collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to identify business problems and develop solutions.

  • Provide training on BI tools and developing data-driven solutions to business problems.

  • Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and secure by developing and implementing procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our data. This includes developing data validation rules, performing data audits, and resolving data discrepancies.

  • Implement query optimization, performance tuning, and process automation techniques.

  • Monitor BI solutions to ensure they are running smoothly and troubleshoot any issues that arise. This includes performing regular backups, monitoring performance metrics, and investigating and resolving errors.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college.

  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.

  • 5+ years of experience with SQL, business intelligence, and data warehousing.

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and data warehouse solutions such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, and Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and SQL.

  • Experience with BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Proficiency in data modeling techniques.

  • Extensive knowledge in working with Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and QlikView.

  • Experience working with large consumer datasets to drive insights.

  • Experience in implementing query optimization, performance tuning, and process automation.

  • Knowledge of data security and Privacy regulations.

  • Working knowledge with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
