ROLE DESCRIPTION

Presenting: A unique opportunity to spearhead the UK expansion efforts of a large and successful online marketplace business with virtually unlimited market potential.

LoopNet is seeking an experienced B2B marketing leader to own the successful growth of our marketing program in the United Kingdom. Based at our UK central office in London and reporting to the VP of Marketing in Richmond, Virginia, this important position oversees our UK marketing efforts in close collaboration with local sales and product teams, and supported by our global marketing operations.

LoopNet launched in the UK in November 2022. Further expansion in Europe is slated to take place throughout 2024/5. Our stated goal is to deliver the world’s #1 marketplace for commercial properties.

Critical to achieving that goal is the delivery of effective marketing activities which grow brand awareness, communicate the value of LoopNet’s product to our target audiences, and drive revenue generation through ecommerce transactions and via our sales teams. The UK Marketing Director, will play a critical role in deploying marketing resources and launching marketing campaigns to deliver in each of these areas.

With the support of the central marketing function in Richmond, Virginia, the UK marketing team will localise and adapt centrally created marketing campaigns and materials, augmenting them with additional activities tailored to the nuances and specific situation in the local market. The UK Marketing Director will supervise and optimise this process to ensure strong results for the business and professional development of their direct report.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful performance in this varied and important role will rely upon delivering high performance across a range of tasks including:

  • Closely coordinating with UK leadership, including stakeholders from management, sales and product.

  • Partnering with the UK & European heads of sales to ensure total alignment of sales and marketing priorities.

  • Defining the UK marketing strategy, in line with the local objectives of the business and the global marketing strategy.

  • Coaching and mentoring your direct report, a London-based Marketing Manager.

  • Setting clear priorities for local marketing efforts, closely linked to the goals of the business and the point in time.

  • Supervising the output of the team, ensuring high quality, relevance to the brief, and high likelihood of successfully meeting the objectives.

  • Overseeing the UK marketing budget for LoopNet.

  • Contributing to campaigns and projects with your own ideas – running key UK marketing projects directly.

  • Setting the tone for the culture of the team, ensuring that a team outside of our North American operations is connected and engaged with the LoopNet marketing ‘way of working’.

  • Documenting relevant marketing policies and processes.

  • Ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and corporate policies.

  • Managing key vendor relationships, ensuring the team has adequate resources from a tools & technology perspective in order to successfully perform.

  • Managing team performance and professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrable experience managing a B2B marketing department for an advertising, marketplace, technology, software or data business.

  • Excellent skills in B2B marketing strategy and planning.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a diplomat who can bring teams together around a common goal.

  • Excellent communication skills; the ability to connect and effectively communicate with colleagues, stakeholders and customers with varied priorities, personalities and ways of working.

  • Strong analytical skills and high-level of comfort with numbers and reporting.

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a large organisation where collaboration is key.

  • A motivated self-starter who is confident and comfortable establishing new working processes and getting things done.

  • A great sense of humour, a desire to continuously improve, and the willingness to put the team first

  • Degree level education or equivalent in a related field.

  • Copywriting and creative strength is a plus – at LoopNet, marketers of every level of seniority contribute campaign ideas, copy and concepts.

  • Experience marketing products or services in the real estate sector.
